Happy B'day ... on your b'day
So yesterday was Paolo's birthday and I don't think it could've turned out any better.
I spent the majority of Wednesday putting together Paolo's present ... which was a sock cake. At the bottom of this "cake" I placed a nicely wrapped Killzone 2 for him. The reaction I got was really good and was a lot better than my "oh....." from Valentines Day.
I also spent Wednesday baking cupcakes because I realized Paolo doesn't react well with ice cream cake =(. I initially made the order at DQ, went to get my eyebrows threaded and realized that the ice cream cake wasn't a good idea and then canceled the order. The design that I had was kick ass too ... Oh well ...
Thursday was a complete blur ... I planned on leaving work an hour early to get some last minute things done, drop off the cupcakes and birthday banner at Sam's house. I should've kept track of time because Paolo called me and asked me what time I left work ... I said 3:30 pm since I thought it was about 4 pm ... WRONG! It was 3:36 pm. At this point I thought he realized that I had something up my sleeve ... but apparently not.
We met up at 5:45 pm and after my mom gave him some sandwhiches and Snapple we headed off to Metro. At this point I had to kill time like there was no tomorrow ... I set up reservations at the Cactus Club at 8:30 pm to have a surprise birthday party for him with 9 of his closest friends (Thank you Sams for being there! <3). After Metro, we went to the Grand Villa Casino where I thought we were gonna kill a lot of time ... since there was free pop and the game was on ... yeah I was wrong ... We drove around for a while ... and made a stop at Timmy's because from where we were to the restaurant was just 13 minutes away and it was only 8:20 pm ... I messaged Aaron (who helped me out a lot) to let him know that we were on our way. We got to CC and I told the hostess that I had reservations before Paolo walked in the door and she quickly showed up where our party was. When we arrived, I could tell Paolo was finally piecing everything together.
He enjoyed himself which all that I could ask for; I know he doesn't like all the attention, but I thought this could be the ONE exception. I spent the majority of my time with the Sams because that's how I do! =D
